We're glad that you're interested in possibly attending one of our services! We know attending a church for the first time can be a bit unnerving, so we've provided the following answers to some frequently asked questions to help set your mind at ease.

What should I wear?

You'll see a little bit of everything at Union Grove... some men wear jeans; some wear khakis. Most guys prefer open-collar shirts; a few wear ties. Some ladies wear pants; some wear dresses or skirts. Honestly, we're more concerned with what's going on inside a person than what they're wearing on the outside, so as long as it's modest, wear whatever you'd be comfortable wearing to church.

What's the music like?

At Union Grove, we believe content is more important than style, so we sing songs that are deep in meaning and allow room to worship from the heart. Our praise band and vocalists are not on stage to perform, but to lead us in worship through music. The lyrics will be displayed on the screen, and we encourage everyone to join in as we worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.

What's the preaching like?

Messages are generally around 30 minutes in length, and are always drawn from the Bible. The goal of the preaching at Union Grove is two-fold: we want to clearly communicate the truth of the Bible, and we want to help you apply it to your life. We believe what you hear on Sunday should influence you Monday through Saturday.

How long are services?

A typical Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:45am and concludes around noon

Will I be asked to give money?

We're not after your money. We believe giving tithes and offerings is a wonderful act of worship, and we provide an opportunity during the service for those who choose to give, but no one will ask you for money.

Will I be singled out?

Absolutely not! You'll be welcomed by a friendly greeter at the door, and we hope you'll meet lots of new people who will become your friends and church family, but we'll never ask you to stand in front of everyone, introduce yourself to the entire church, or do anything else that might make you feel awkward. We want you to enjoy your time with us, and we hope you'll come back again and again.

Will I be bored?

We hope not! We believe life with Jesus is the most rewarding, fulfilling, and exciting life there is, and we want to celebrate that each time we come together. We hope the service will be a meaningful part of your weekend.
